Q What can we purchase?

A You can purchase the two EasyOpen kits-EAS999, EAS999K and EAS99MAG. See Easy Open Kits for details. We can also supply you with OEM boards and Sensor for you to package and use with your own electro-mechanical locking devices.TinyTags can be bought in multiples of 10.

Q How easy is it to wire an EasyOpen kit?

A Wiring is straightforward. Only six connections are required into clearly labelled easy to usescrew terminals. See Installing for comprehensive details. The six wires are 2 wires to the sensor, 2 wires to the strike and 2 wires to the power supply. Battery backup systems are slightly different. Consult your supplier for details.

Q How easy is it to mount the parts to an EasyOpen kit?

A You can mount the electric locking part (strike) either as a surface mounted lock or as a recessed lock. A surface mount is achieved by removing the strike mounting plate and fitting it into the mounting frame supplied. (As photo). The spacers supplied allow the position of the strike to be adjusted to get correct alignment if required.

Recessed mount is achieved by fitting the electric locking part into a recess in the door frame to align with the existing lock e.g. a Chubb type lock.

The sensor and control box are easily mounted on a wall adjacent to the door.

Managed System-Frequently Asked Questions

Q I don’t really want a fully networked system, but I like the idea of offering more security to my employees. Is there an option allowing photo ID checking?

Yes, the Managed System running our Windows based software can do this very thing.

Q I want to increase security at my business premises and I am very interested in your Managed System. However, our PCs do not run under Windows. Do you offer an alternative to your Windows version?

A Yes, we have an alternative DOS software version, which will allow you to use the Managed System. However, you will not have access to the photo ID service that you would have with the Windows version.
