An alert allows Access Manager to perform certain actions when something important happens. An example would be to warn you by email if an input on a controller goes active. However, an alert can also print the current rollcall to any printer defined on the PC running Access Manager.
Alerts are manipulated in the same way was any other Access Manager object, ie you can add them, edit them, and assign them. When assigned to another object, if that object becomes active in some way the alert will be triggered. One alert may be assigned to any number of "triggering" objects, and any number of alerts can be assigned to one "triggering" object. This feature could be used to email several users when an input goes active, or to email one or more users when any of several inputs goes active.
