To edit the information associated with an interface:
The Display Name is used to uniquely identify the interface to you.
The Type drop-list is used to select the interface hardware.
If the p Let Access Manager find this interface check-box is checked the interface will be found by a searching interface. If it is not checked Access Manager will specifically check this location for hardware.
This is for use with servers on real or virtual COM ports. Select the COM port from the drop-list, or set to Search to make this a searching interface.
This interface is used when a direct ethernet connection is needed, such as when using a GPRS modem. It is not possible to search for such an interface, so you must specify the interface address and IP port. The address can either be a URL (such as mymodem.mynet.co.uk) or an IP address (such as 145.376.22.1). The IP port is set on the hardware, but hardware will be supplied set to use port 2101. If there is more than one controller on such an interface searching for controllers on it is likely to prove unreliable.
This is for use with the USB tag scanner. Select the COM port from the drop-list, or set to Search to make this a searching interface.
