The interface options may be found by selecting from the menu.
Various options are available to change the interface. These are as follows:

| Show tooltips | Turning on ToolTips allows you to receive brief help on any control simply by leaving the mouse pointer over it briefly (default is On). |
| Sound | Turning on the sound option will give you audible prompts of activity (default is On). |
| Show system messages | Displays a small window to allow you to see a record of what Access Manager is doing (default is Off). |
| Show interfaces | Displays and allows the editing of interfaces (default is Off). |
| Show all message boxes | If you have requested that a message not be shown again, selecting this option will allow all messages to be displayed again. |
| Show Users on Doors | Show users assigned to doors. Even when this option is not selected, you may still assign users to a door in addition to assigning doors to a user. |
| Log Changes to Database: Additions | Log who made which additions to the database (note that some database objects, such as controllers, are added automatically). |
| Log Changes to Database: Deletions | Log who made which deletions from the database. |
| Search for new controllers when going online | Allows Access Manager to find not only new controllers, but also controllers that have been moved from one interface to another (default is On). |
| Advanced user rights | Allows you to define more closely what rights a user may have (default is Off). |
| Use timed access | Allows you to prevent or allow access dependent on the time. Not available on all systems. |
| Anti-passback control | Prevents users from passing back tags. |
| Address information | Allows you to store postal and email addresses for each user (default is Off). |
| Telephone information | Allows you to store phone numbers for each user (default is Off). |
| Use PhotoIDs | Allows you to specify a PhotoID for each user (default is Off). |
| Register Access Manager files | This allows Open Access Manager to register its file types with Windows, so you can double-click on them to run Access Manager (default is On). |
| Run as a service | Access Manager will run once Windows has booted but before anyone has logged into Windows (default is Off). Access Manager will log into the database using the user specified here. |
| Allow user interaction | When running as a service the Access Manager window will be displayed when a user logs into Windows (default is Off). |
The maximum number of entries in the log may be changed by selecting from the menu.
Use the Maximum Number of Entries in Log drop-list to select the maximum number of entries which are stored in the log. When this number of entries is reached, the first 10% of entries in the log are erased.
The reader used for tag allocation may be changed by selecting from the menu.
Use the Tag Allocation Reader drop-list to select the door controller which will be used for scanning in tags for users.
